Review of the New iPhone XS

Every time the folks at Apple release a brand-new iPhone it feels like they scream from the mountaintop that it is the next best thing in the world of technology, a device living on the bleeding edge of hardware and software, and that it is the smart phone ALL other smart phones are trying to copy.

Sometimes this boasting has fallen flat and felt a little thin and worn out (especially in the post-Steve Jobs world for Apple), but the new iPhone XS is quite literally a game changing piece of hardware that makes it the best smart phone money can buy.

A brand-new dual camera and better photo/video capture software

A lightning fast processor that handles multitasking effortlessly

Dual SIM support and 512 GB worth of storage

… and so much more, it’s easy to see why so many people in the world of technology are going absolutely crazy over the latest iPhone XS.

If you’ve been wondering whether or not this is the right phone for you, hopefully we are able to shine a little bit of light on the subject for you before you pull the trigger on this purchase.

Spoiler Alert – The iPhone XS is everything you want it to be (and then some).

A Big Leap Forward From the iPhone X

The thing that stands out most about the new iPhone XS is just how new it feels compared to the 2017 iPhone X, the 10th anniversary iPhone that was the first device to break the $1000 barrier.

A whole lot faster than last year’s phone, with more storage, color schemes, and a tightly designs and improved upon IOS version, the iPhone XS doesn’t just feel like an iteration from last year’s device – but actually feels like an evolution.

Smart HDR is built right into the new photo/video capture software, making the most of the new dual cameras on the back of this iPhone. The image sensor in these cameras is also completely brand-new, helping you capture the highest definition photos of any iPhone ever.

The A12 Bionic processor (engineered by the folks at Apple) is lightning fast, producing a mobile experience that feels like you are actually using an iPad.

Seriously, there’s a lot of horsepower under the hood of this new phone.

Obviously, the design engineers at Apple weren’t going to move too far away from the iconic shape and design of this smart phone. But they did include new colorways and new design options that give this phone a bit of a refresher, helping you look and feel a lot cooler even if it isn’t a marked design change at first blush.

All in all, the folks at Apple have another home run on their hands with this new smart phone!
