Red Dead Redemption 2 Launches
With the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar has unleashed one of the most anticipated video game sequels of 2018. This is also their next open-world game. It is staggering to witness the leaps and bounds of the developer’s improvements in these games. This western epic is certain to improve upon everything we loved about the first game. At the same time, there are also some new features that are well worth appreciating.
A new Rockstar game is something of a landmark event. This title proves to be no different. This is the third entry in the Red Dead saga, and it is already poised to be the best.
Out Now: Red Dead Redemption 2
Set in the year 1899, Red Dead Redemption 2 follows the story of one Arthur Morgan. A lawbreaker and one part of the infamous Dutch Van der Linde organization, Morgan is the centerpiece of a sprawling western epic. Many are already praising Red Dead Redemption 2 as not only the best in the Red Dead series, but firmly placed among the best video games of all time. Reviews from both journalists and players have been universal in their praise. Everything about the game has raised the bar for not only what Rockstar can achieve as a developer, but in terms of what we have come to expect from them, as well.
The story, open universe, and boggling level of detail are all worth appreciating in greater detail here. Keep in mind that this praise has been extended towards both the current versions of PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game. There does not seem to be any significant differences between these titles.
Not surprisingly, Rockstar announced a third title back in the Red Dead series back in 2016. This isn’t surprising in the sense that the series has already become among the most successful franchises of the 21st century. Players love the action/adventure elements, the ability to battle various forces in an uncertain, chaotic frontier universe, and the depth of the game itself. It is being seen by many as a powerful successor to Red Dead Redemption. Experts believe the game will easily outsell the 15 million units that have been sold with the first game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will unquestionably receive its own follow-up in due course. While that likely won’t be for a few years, it is difficult to imagine how Rockstar is going to top the profound success of their latest.
